yes, my internet research shouts that these AMT guns were racked with quality control issues as the company changed hands a few times.
yes, i've also read that the more you shoot them...the worse they are to shoot. that being said:

1) does anyone know of a resource where the owner's manual may be available?
2) of late, rounds do not load and i believe it is due to the excessive "play" of the barrel within the slide-- open for comments
3) this is an all stainless steel clone of the colt commander/7 shot/.45acp

i will keep it with me when i am at the range to show the resident mavens, but thought why not hit the forum because i may not be the only one at the r&r to own or have experience with these guns.

Well I stripped, cleaned, and re-assembled it, then asked Fred (Jr.?) to check it out at the range. No jambs...just a lesson learned on keeping your toys clean and "lightly" oiled.

I keep a small tube of loc-tite on hand just to keep all the parts together and a tube of light oil to keep the parts moving... it's tough dealing with the dichotomy!

Glad to read that you were able to find a solution to the issue. Let that be a lesson to all of us. Cool
